A

Answer: D. Began to question both the war and the fairness of the draft.

The Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States was the main intensifier of the Vietnam War. Over 3 million people were killed of which included 58,000 Americans. As a result of the opposition to the war by Americans, a type of division was established between Americans and then-President Richard Nixon even after he ordered the immediate withdrawal of all US forces and signed the Paris Peace Accords. The US was Vietnam’s main ally and during the war, so much time and money were spent that Americans began to question its fairness.
