Food safety revolves around different hazards ranging from biological to physical. Biological hazards have to do with parasites, viruses, mold and bacteria. Physical hazards in food happen when there are foreign particles such as bugs, bones, glass and hair among others.

Uncovered lightbulbs expose food to chemical hazards. This happens as allergens and toxic chemicals find their way into the food. The food is exposed to mercury used in the production of light. This is a toxic substance.
